The hard part is midnight tides iirc (the 1 about the edur and letherii). But Tehol and Bugg makes it worth the read tbh^^. Still havent made up my mind if Tehol or Iskaral is funniest tho. Love this part tho between Iskaral and his wife:

-Come near me with intentions other than amorous and I'll stick you

-Amorous, what a horrible thought-----

-What if I told you I was pregnaant?

-I would kill the mule.

You're going to enjoy Toll the Hounds, and definatly Dust of Dreams.

By far, Tehol and Bugg amuse me the most. The best scene I remember is Iskaral vs Kruppe, mules locked in deadly combat!

"Were I not so self-centered, I'd be intrigued."

- Tehol Beddict in Midnight Tides.

They're pretty cool in the destroying stars - million year wars scale type of things. Reynolds has a cool and original universe (no FTL for once), but his characters tend to be a bit 1D and the romantic situations are just laughable. All in all still well worth the read; the plot is quite good.

I've read three so far: Revelation Space, Redemption Ark and Chasm City. The first two are chronological, so starting with RevSpace is what I'd recommend. Chasm City takes place some time before the other two, is written is first instead of third person, has a much smaller scale, but gets you much more involved with the character. They're all three worth reading.

ed: slight alteration: read them in the order they were written, like that Redemption Ark makes a bit more sense. (so RevSpace, ChasmCity, RedArk, then Absolution Gap, which I haven't read yet).

Just got my parcel with the books I ordered a fee weeks ago, sadly Paradise Lost was out of stock and they weren't getting it in anytime soon.

I plan to read these on my 1 week vacation to Turkey :P

For you non Swedes the Swedish books from top to bottom are: Crime and Punishment, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies and Heart of Darkness.

Ulysses will probably take as long as the rest of the stack, but a nice list indeed! (though Pr,Pr&Z is a bit boring after seeing the zombie gimmick employed a few times). Never read any Goethe, might be a good one next time I feel like a serious book (I'm still recovering from Proust in French, so just SF and fantasy for me for a while :p).

Did anyone read Embrace & Exclusion by Miroslav Volf? One of the best theological books out there tbh.
